ABOUT THIS ALBUM
Sometimes life throws you a curve ball. Everything is going along nicely then bam!! something hits your tidy little life and everything changes.
When my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the age of 57 we thought our world had ended. It had actually-as we knew it anyway. The song ‘Choose’ on this album, reminds me that I fell into the arms of God, rather than running away from Him. Sometimes I was angry and sometimes I was peaceful, life is just like that isn’t it? it can be c..p Gradually though, white feathers began to appear as small symbols of God’s covering of us in the storm. He held us, gave us peace, comforted us. At other times, it seemed His voice was silent and He didn’t care. When my dear husband died after only 18 months, we had come on a journey that we never chose, wouldn’t have wanted, but was truly amazing and the story of God’s care and protection continues, and will continue, as long as we draw breath. We miss him more than words can ever say, but nearly 8 years on, I am learning even more about trusting and fighting and praying. Some days it’s harder than others, but usually after a bad day a better one comes. Not all the songs are about grief you may be glad to hear! but most of them are about God’s love in the storms and ups and downs of life…I love the bit where the family, including my little grandchildren join in at the end of the white feathers song. There is always hope and always help, you are not alone, don’t give up.
