This Little Life of Mine

Inspiration

People ask me where I was when I wrote this song. I think it is better for you to imagine your own desert.

Suffice it to say, ‘Beauty poured out like best wine’ is one of the key parts of this for me. At the times when I feel sorry for myself, grrrr. God has shown me those little tiny blue flowers that grow unnoticed along the paths of cornfields, have you seen them? He made them simply for the joy of it! whether or not they are ever seen by human eye. He understands when we feel no-one sees us, but we are never out of His precious gaze, and He is always working things together for our good, and with great love and wisdom.

All of our lives have significance and meaning,We are never a ‘nothing’! we are planned and known and wanted. This one is my daughters favourite!

Lyrics

I sat and watched the sun slip down
Over the desert horizon
No sound no other living being was in sight

And something about the beauty
Poured out like best wine
Whether seen or unseen
And the silence sweet silence
In this little life of mine
And time such time
Something about it makes me cry
Something about it makes me cry

And as the darkness gathers round
The first stars, begin to shine
The sky so vast, so endless overhead
This space all mine

Something about…

And it draws me in
And it turns the tide
And it calls me to make changes
To this little life
So pre-occupied with having and holding
And something stirs a hope in me
there is significance and meaning
In this little life of mine

I sat and watched the sun slip down
Over the desert horizon
No sound no other living being was in sight

And something about the beauty
Poured out like best wine
Whether seen or unseen
And the silence sweet silence
In this little life of mine
And time such time
Something about it makes me cry
Something about it makes me cry
this little life…..
